fyi, I used that same window cleaner and don't recommend leaving it in the water. Mines broke leaving it in the water after a few months. The strong magnet pulls off the glue and it separates/breaks off.

I still use it but I don't leave it in the tank. I also have a old magfloat that I use.

I dont get much algae in my Alpha tank, the little i do get peels off and they seem to eat it?... i dose with bio digest once every 2 weeks.

Interesting, I thought bio digest was used to help get a new aquarium cycled. What affect does it have on an already cycled tank?

I assume it eats up the algae food source, I think lol.
How many Alphas do you have, are they separate from other shrimp?

I feed my tank once a week on fish flake which pollutes the water pretty bad but i dose biodigest to combat this, i have about 20 in this small tank, they will be going into a larger tank when my sheds finished.. had them for a fair few years now.
